Mr. Berube – SEPTA – (Special Education Parent Teacher Association)

Meeting, October 20, 2011 – SEPTA currently has approximately 38 members

Officers: Lori-Rae Johnson, President

Melissa Johnson, Vice President

Jeannette Brodeau – Secretary

Currently, SEPTA has approximately 38 members. The membership fee per year is $10.00. Some ideas for membership benefits are: As a member of SEPTA, one receives 3 free visits to the Dynamite Academy of Gymnastics. There are 12 funded $100 Grants for SEPTA Members. In order for a member to apply, the necessary paperwork must be completed.

Holiday Greenery Orders need to be in the week of Thanksgiving.

Excused Absence – No Report

 Dr. Distasio - PTA Council

Due to a conflict with negotiations, Dr. Distasio did not attend the PTSA Council Meeting. However, he reminded the public of the PTSA Northeast Professional Wrestling Night on December 9th at the high school. Main Event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Santorso – Thank you to Roxanne for her time and Welcome Mr. Parenti.

Mr. Wetzel – Congratulations to Mr. Parenti and to the many great students in the Town of Plymouth.

Mr. Bourbonniere – Congratulations to the student award winners and their parents. Thank you to all of the administrators and staff who help out during the recent storm.

Mrs. Kulesa – Congratulations to the student award winners and Mr. Parenti.

Mr. Berube – Congratulations to the student award winners and their parents. This district has some outstanding students. Best of Luck to Mr. Parenti, he has a difficult job ahead of him. To Roxanne, I’ve learned a great deal from you and you will be sorely missed.

Mr. Engle – Congratulations to all. We have some great students in this district. Welcome to Mr. Parenti, the new Director of Pupil Personnel. Welcome to the newly elected officers.

Mr. Perugino – Congratulations to our student award winners and their parents. Many thanks to all of the volunteers, fire, police, ambulance, administrators, custodians, nurse, and cafeteria helper, etc. Everyone did a tremendous job. In time of crisis, although Plymouth is a small community, everyone pulls together to help one another. Good Luck to Mr. Parenti.

15. Next Regular Board Meeting

Mr. Perugino stated that the next regular Board of Education Meeting will be held on December 14, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Terryville High School.

MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 8 p.m. Motion Raymond Engle, seconded Martin Wetzel motion passed unanimously.
